Congratulations on your acceptance to Bard Early College New Orleans. We are delighted that you will be joining us in the fall.
Please be on the lookout for an email listing our upcoming events as well as your log-in information to your Bard email account. Once this account is created, all communication will be sent via this account. It’s crucial you set it up and check it regularly throughout the summer.
We start the fall semester with a Writing and Thinking Workshop where you will work closely with a small group of students. You will learn to read and listen more thoughtfully, to articulate ideas: to review your own work critically and, most basically, to recognize the link between thought and expression.
Walking in Two Worlds (Summer 2024)
BECNO summer courses are offered to new students to get a head start on their degree plan. We often offer Seminar, College Composition, Introduction to Philosophy, Language, and College Algebra. Students may be designated to take summer courses as a required preparation for a full course-load in fall; meaning, they must enroll and pass to be fully accepted in August. Other students may choose to take summer courses to later give them the freedom in their schedule to explore chosen electives. New students should check their acceptance letter for such expectations.
