Brooke Duncan was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2015 with a Bachelors in Health and Human Performance. During undergrad, she became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. After graduating undergrad she moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and held two gap years completing over 3,000 national service hours with the AmeriCorps program City Year. During her gap years she developed her passion for education and helping students tap into their inner light. After completing her gap years, she attended graduate school at Louisiana State University, where she received her Master’s in Higher Education Administration in March 2019. She lives by the simple one word mantra of FLOW, which means to Foster Light Occurring Within and believes in the power that lies in each person and strives to help them foster that light to become who they wish to be in this world.
